I have been using the Macintosh since 1985, and I have always found it to be
a friendly, comfortable machine.  While my Windows friends are struggling to
interpret their blue screens and crash dumps, I am able to go about my work
without having to learn a lot about computers.

I recently got a new Dual G4 system, running OS X.  It is awful!  They took my
Mac and replaced it with some kind of weird complicated computerey thing.  I
don't like this at all.

I was copying some files, and my Mac put up a box saying something
about a full disc.  I am not some kind of computer geek!  I don't
want to have to study computers for ten years to know what's
happening.  I used to be able to copy files on my old mac, and I
never had to learn about some "diks" thing.  I don't even know if
my file copied or not.

It's not always bad.  When I tried to copy some of my stuff, once the finder
said there was an error, so I knew it hadn't copied anything.  Then I could
try again later.

This system is really annoying, because it always tells me these things I
don't understand, though, and I wish it would just say whether or not there's
a problem, so I could have someone help me.

Finally, and this one looks like it may be the biggest problem yet, there
doesn't seem to be any kind of versioning on dynamic libraries, so how am I
supposed to distinguish between a new library that changes the API (and thus,
which is incompatible with old binaries) and a new library that just fixes
bugs and keeps a compatible API?  Shouldn't the shared libraries have major
and minor numbers?
