"I personally don't particularly think reincarnation is likely, but I understand many Jews believe in it, and that there's some passages they interpret as supporting it."
Here you affirmed the passages support it. Again you're wrong, back peddle all you want seebs.

What you describe me as saying, and what I said, seem to me to be very different.
Let's compare them again:
What I said: "and there's some passages they interpreted as supporting it."
What you said I said: "the passages support it."
I believe it was clear that my claim was that *someone else* made claims about the interpretation of a certain passage. Since they do make those claims, *my* claim is correct - but I'm not saying whether or not theirs are correct, since I don't really know enough to say. It seems unlikely to me, but I'm hardly an expert in the afterlife.

Would you be so kind as to cite exactly where I "affirmed they were right"? Because I don't think I said anything of the sort, and if you could be specific about what I said that gave that impression, I could correct it.

I have already, read it for yourself, or do you often argue senselessly about things you're not talking about?

I think we must be talking past each other. My experience of the thread went like this:
seebs: Some Jews believe in reincarnation, and they believe the Bible supports this position.
Outspoken: Jews don't believe that.
seebs: Sure they do, here's citations.
(back and forth a bit)
Outspoken: But you affirmed they were correct!
I don't see when I affirmed they were correct; I merely observed that the Jews who believe this actually exist, and have for something like a thousand years. This was a secondary side point from my initial observation that I don't much care about afterlife, and that my lack of strong interest in the issue is probably one of the reasons Belief-O-Matic thought I might be Jewish - because the Jewish faith does not have universal strong teachings about exactly what happens in the afterlife, and the existance of Jews who believe in reincarnation is simply some supporting evidence for the more general claim.
I don't happen to believe in reincarnation, but I don't believe any of my posts said it was correct, or that the Bible supported it - only that there existed Jews who interpreted the Torah that way.

No, that is NOT what he said. Reread Seebs post.
I don't really want to get into it right now. I personally don't particularly think reincarnation is likely, but I understand many Jews believe in it, and that there's some passages they interpret as supporting it.

It's really a wonder that I haven't dropped all my ideals, because they seem so absurd. Yet I keep them, because in spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart. I simply can't build my hopes on a foundation of confusion, misery and death. And yet I think this cruelty will end, and that peace and tranquillity will return again.
